A collaboration honoring Made in Italy and craftsmanship
A partnership created to highlight the value of artisanal craftsmanship, Fedeli and Babú join forces to support and celebrate the small, dedicated workshops that define Italian excellence.
Babú was founded in 2022, the ambitious project of three young Milanese entrepreneurs, united by their love for fashion and their commitment to promote the expertise of Italian craft. The brand draws its inspiration from a cherished Moroccan tradition: the babouche slipper, which the founders fondly associated with moments of happiness at home and often gifted to their guests.
These slippers were so well-received that they became the inspiration for Babú—a modern reinterpretation of the traditional slipper, made with the finest Italian materials and crafted by skilled local artisans. Each pair is a true work of craftsmanship, utilizing seamless "bag construction” to create a perfect shoe that resemble a single body, which is a design distinctive element of this type of footwear.
Fedeli recognized Babú's shared values of quality, tradition, and attention to detail, leading to a collaboration aimed at sustaining this carefully curated brand. Together, we launched two exclusive models in the FW24 collection: a Shearling Babú available in two colors peru and black, featuring a soft and warm shearling lining on the inside and a Nappa Leather Babú, crafted from ultra-soft leather with a cashmere heel insert, also in two shades: black and sienna.
